What could be special about a ragged old wall-piece of patchwork? This one is a curio from the eighties. That was when netting plastic wire over glasses to make plastic flower vases, and patchwork pieces were a rage among housewives in my neighbourhood.Over later years, some housewives `graduated' to making bigger Mickey Mouse patchwork designs for homes. This design beat them all. I could not find its replicas anywhere through those changing decor years. My sister and I bid adieu to the piece with a heavy heart, a few weeks back. Not easy to let go of something you've grown up staring at.
